10月12日下午，受“媒介音视频”教育部重点实验室颜金尧教授的邀请，德国哥廷根大学（Georg-August-University of Göttingen）傅晓明教授来实验室进行学术交流，给出了一场题为“Mobile, Cloud, Analytics – Challenges and Opportunities for Data-Driven Infrastructure”的学术报告。
Abstract: With the tremendous growth of data-intensive applications and platforms, various challenges emerge particularly those concerning mobile usage, cloud computing and big data analytics. How to mitigate these challenges and how can we embrace the opportunities in this era? In this talk, I will introduce some of our ongoing efforts and outline a vision of how social media, mobile sensing, big data and cloud computing could be converged in a universal infrastructure to provide a more holistic view on future ICT-rich life.
傅晓明教授简介：傅晓明教授于2000年获得清华大学计算机系博士学位，同年底起担任德国柏林工业大学研究员。2002年起在德国哥廷根大学任教，2007年4月获得终身教授职位并担任计算机网络研究实验室主任。他是剑桥大学、哥伦比亚大学、加州大学洛杉矶分校、清华大学、南京大学、复旦大学、乌普萨拉大学、巴黎第六大学等众多知名学府的访问学者。其研究领域包括计算机网络、移动通信、多媒体网络、云计算及社会网络。他目前是IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Trans. Network and Service Management, Elsevier Computer Networks, Computer Communications等杂志的编辑之一，并且是CoNEXT, MOBICOM, MOBIHOC, INFOCOM, ICNP, ICDCS, COSN等重要学术会议的组织者或委员会成员。他曾担任过IEEE Communications Society Technical Committee on Computer Communications （TCCC）的秘书（2008-2010）和副主席（2010-2012），并且担任过Internet Technical Committee （ITC）主席（2011-2013）。他目前参与FP6 ENABLE, VIDIOS, Daidalos-II以及MING-T等科研项目，并担任FP7 Green ICN, Mobile Cloud以及Clean Sky项目的负责人。
